“Built Tough” is a short film exploring visual narratives and storytelling. It breaks away from Frod Trucks' conventional demographic to appeal to a diverse range of individuals, including strong and confident women.

Creative Process:
A -- Moodboard
The creative journey for 'Built Tough' began with a mood board to establish the film's visual and thematic direction.

The project was inspired by a personal experience of car troubles that led me to drive my brother's truck, sparking an idea to explore the concept of strength and resilience. Additionally, I drew inspiration from the work of Nadia Lee Cohen, a British artist known for her exaggerated characters and vibrant costumes, which influenced the film's bold and distinctive visual style.

B -- Character Development
In developing the main lead, I introduced the character of the 'Ford Woman.' I wanted to challenge the stereotypical image of a tomboy woman often associated with truck driving. Instead, I portrayed her as overly feminine, bold, and confident—someone who turns heads when she enters a room.

C -- StoryboardingStoryboarding was a crucial step, where I mapped out the narrative flow and developed a story with a rise and fall.

This stage involved creating numerous iterations until I achieved the right balance. I aimed to infuse a comical tone with an unpredictable ending that would surprise the audience.
